Relate the role of technology and human intervention in the control of constructive and destructive processes. seismological studies, flood control, (dams, levees, storm drain management, etc.), beach reclamation (Georgia coastal islands) |
Driving Question: How can we design a response plan/survival guide in the event of a natural disaster?

Guest Speakers
5th Graders got to experience real-life scenarios through the eyes of several guest speakers. Students took notes and will use what they learned while creating final products for the unit.
Mr. Armstrong talked about his experiences being a first responder following a tsunami and an earthquake.
