Driving Question: How can we, as scientists, develop a model to help kindergarten students understand how living things change and grow?
Project Summary: Kindergarten students are studying animals & plants but need more help to learn how they change and grow. The students are observing the changes a caterpillar to see how it will become a butterfly. This has made them very curious about other animals. The kindergarten teachers have asked for experts to help teach their students about other life cycles. Each student has recorded a Flipgrid video with a question they need answered about different types of animals or plants. Second grader experts will research animals, create a life cycle model, and send a recorded reply to their kindergarten partner.
Kindergarten students made recording on Flipgrid asking 2nd graders for help. They wanted to learn about how specific animals grow.
2nd Grade student experts researched the animals, created models, and replied with a video on Flipgrid.
